Maritime Aquarium

This week Caroline is away at camp so I figured I'd take the other kiddos to some fun places so they don't feel like they're missing out on anything! So today we went to the Maritime Aquarium here in Connecticut, the kids absolutely LOVED it! This is what they looked like most of the time!

We got to see them feed the Seals

Got to pet the Sting Rays (This was the favorite of all the things to do)

Looking at the huge Sea Turtles

And then pretending to be one :)

The Jellyfish were so AWESOME!

We had sooooo much fun!

Montauk

This weekend I drove out to Montauk, New York, which is on the very very tip of Long Island and right by the Hamptons. The reason I went out there was to babysit this adorable little boy:
Now he doesn't usually have a mohawk, just when I'm around and playing with his hair!

He loves my ipod and was trying to figure out how to use it :)

Here's the beautiful lighthouse at the end of the Long Island

See that's where I was!

I tried to pack Luke and take him home but his mommy said I couldn't!

Touch Pod

Ok so Connor LOVES my I-pod touch! Seriously! He always wants to touch it and always pretends like he's using one. And I love what he calls it, a TOUCH POD. Well when we went to Colorado Connor found a rock on his hike that he calls his touch pod, he carries it around pushing pretend buttons on it and doing whatever I'm doing if I happen to be on mine, it's very cute! Well today I got a thing for my I-pod so that I can put it on my arm while I excercise and it had this little cardboard I-pod touch in it, Connor was seriously in heaven when I gave it to him. He'll seriously sit quietly forever just tapping that thing! Sooooo funny!

Hibachi

So I suggested to Roz that it would be fun to take the kids to Hibachi for dinner because I thought they would love it! I had gone like a month before with my friend and watched some other children and saw how much they enjoyed it. Well boy was I wrong! Christina was terrified! Everytime the chef put anything on fire she freaked out! Once she even ended up huddling behind her moms chair!

So I thought maybe if I held her and scooted back it would be better...wrong!

Connor on the other hand LOVED it and watched as the Chef did it at two other tables before we left.

Haircuts!

Today the girls got their hair cut. Christina's was long enough to donate, but Caroline did it last year so here's wasn't long enough. Here are the before and after pictures!

Then Connor after watching me take the before and after pictures decided he needed a picture to:

and then he knew what to do since he had been watching, so he turned around! I laughed so hard then of course took the picture!
